Hi

I guess your kind of busy making super modifications to this excellent module, however if you can take a few moments, would you be able to tell me how to get the article title to display in the page title?

Example:
Currently when I view an article my browser will display the following information:

Articles - Site Name - Site Slogan

Which comes from this line in my theme.html

<title><{$xoops_pagetitle}> - <{$xoops_slogan}> - <{$xoops_sitename}></title>

With the help of Dominic Ryan at it-hq.org I have been able to get the page title to display useful information from modules such as News and Web links.

However I can not figure out how to do this with Articles.

From what I can see, I should just need to pass the right information to 'xoops_pagetitle' But I can't figure it out.

I am trying to edit article.php and have tried to add this line:

$xoopsTpl->assign('xoops_pagetitle'$myts->makeTboxData4Show($art_title));

Just before the file ends:

Example:
# end of functions
################################################################################

$xoopsTpl->assign('xoops_pagetitle'$myts->makeTboxData4Show($art_title));

include
XOOPS_ROOT_PATH.'/include/comment_view.php';
include
XOOPS_ROOT_PATH.'/footer.php';
?>

I have not asked elsewhere as this module is your baby so I guess no-one knows it as well as you.

Thanks for any support

Dave

Hi,

Thanks for your compliments on my module.

Anyhoo, this is already a feature of Articles, having the article title as the page title in the browser was added a couple or three releases ago.

It is currently a module wide and not a per article feature, so you need to go to Articles' preferences and select the "Article title as page title" option, there you can turn it off, and choose which order it should appear.

Ahh,

Must be because I am still trying to use v 0.17 which I love, however, I think it is time to bite the bullet and try another update to the latest release.

Thanks for answer

Well the update went fine and as per another post I see you have replied to, I had to edit my articles so they dealt with the HTML, but they all appear to be displaying fine, just waiting for a member to submit an article now as I have not had chence to test this part of your excellent module.

Page titles are now working as I want.

Thanks again

Dave
