Thanks for the suggestions Andy. I have uploaded the version of the editor which you linked in your post. I am no longer getting any errors with PHP Debug turned on but now there is a different problem. This image displays the screen when someone tries to submit an article with your version of the FCK Editor installed:

As you can see, there is no space to enter any text...

Oh, my hosting provider is running PHP version 4.3.11.

I can't get the FCK Editor to work with Articles. I do have it working with the News module. I get the following on the /modules/articles/submit.php page when I turn on PHP Debug:
Notice [PHP]: Undefined variablename in file class/xoopseditor/fckeditor/formfckeditor.php line 65
Notice
[PHP]: Undefined variablevalue in file class/xoopseditor/fckeditor/formfckeditor.php line 65
Notice
[PHP]: Undefined variablename in file class/xoopseditor/fckeditor/formfckeditor.php line 65
Notice
[PHP]: Undefined variablevalue in file class/xoopseditor/fckeditor/formfckeditor.php line 65

Line #65 in the formfckeditor.php file is this:
$this->XoopsFormTextArea(""$name$value);

Any suggestions? I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the Articles module and it still happens.

I'm running Xoops version 2.23 and Articles version 1.0

Thanks!
Sean

I have version 1 of Spaw running and working with my other modules. However, when I try to use it with the Articles module, I get the error above. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I have SPAW and HTML Area installed and working with other modules on my site. Unfortunately, when I try to use them with Articles, it doesn't work.

When I select HTML Area for the admin edit area, it shows the default editor.

When I select SPAW for the admin edit area, no editor is displayed. PHP Debug shows the following with SPAW as the admin editor:

Quote:
Notice [PHP]: Constant SPAW_TBI_IMAGE already defined in file class/spaw/class/toolbars.class.php line 16
Notice [PHP]: Constant SPAW_TBI_BUTTON already defined in file class/spaw/class/toolbars.class.php line 17
Notice [PHP]: Constant SPAW_TBI_DROPDOWN already defined in file class/spaw/class/toolbars.class.php line 18

I'm not a programmer so I'm hoping that someone can suggest a fix.

Thanks,
Sean

It would be nice to be able to add a disclaimer to the the main page of the articles module as well as have a choice of having it added to the top of each article. Something similar to this:

The [insert web site name here] is not responsible for the quality, reliability or accuracy of information of the articles posted here. This service is provided soley as a convenience to users and the inclusion of any articles does not imply endorsement of the contents.

Just an idea...

Sean
PS Great module!!
