The URL's of events contain "?id=" . Please use another parameter.

As Vanessa Fox of Google's sitemap team wrote: "And don?t use ?&id=? in the URL for anything other than a session ID. Since it generally is a session ID, we treat it as such and usually don?t include those URLs in the index.".

Andy, I would not add too many features!

The unique niche of AM Events is its usability. I learnt that many website users do not understand other xoops agenda modules. The average website visitor only visits a site very briefly and most users of my website are no computer experts. These visitors do not have the time to study all these features.

Some suggestions to increase the user experience:

- the calendar block could display not only this month, but also next month. Today is the 29th of April... it would be nice to show May as well
- Making countries selectable in the upcomming events block
- Allow user to edit own events
- Maximum number of items per page in the upcomming events block and the possibility to click on the next page.

The title field has a maximum number of characters. This causes a white page on a multilingual site (XLanguage) after the following chain of events:

1) user submits an event with a long title. The title has to be long because to title contains two or more languages and some language tags like

[en]English event title[/en][nl]Nederlandse evenement titel[/nl]

2) the software abbreviates the title

3) one of the language tags is lost. The syntax is no longer correct

4) this causes a white page on /modules/amevents/admin/eventadmin.php

These two bugs are reported by PHP debug. I don't notice these if I switch off PHP debug:

NoticeUndefined variabledaythingy in file /modules/amevents/blocks/events_calendar.php line 155

Notice
Undefined variabledhtmlEvents in file /modules/amevents/blocks/events_calendar.php line 179

This is the context:
- XOOPS 2.0.16
- PHP 5.1
- MySQL 5

Follow up: I installed it and it rocks! Thanks for this great module!

2 Bugs are only visible in the PHP debug modus and will be reported in the bug section of this forum. A third bug has to do with design and will be reported as well.

- URL rewrite (see SEO in SmartSection: what is the use of creating brilliant content if it cannot be found in search engines?)
- Field for a link

I believe the URL format isn't such an issue with search engines like Google any more. However, I shall still look into implementing URL rewriting.

Well, I've wrestled with the idea of adding a field for a URL, but I decided against it as it will make the review add/edit form more complicated/cluttered and it would only allow for one URL. You can, however, still add a link in the "item details" box, which will allow for more than one URL. If you are worried about re-adding a lot of the same info in this field, a default template for it can be set in the preferences.
